...and I sit right down here when I get home. *snort*

Athena, I got your card. I love getting mail from you. It's always so pretty. :D

I have boxes to put the girls' Care Bears into so I can get those wrapped. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with Teresa and Rick's gift (it's a wine gift basket I got at World Market). I could probably just loosely wrap paper around it, but I know it'll tear on the trip. Grab another box from the office tomorrow, I guess.

Oh, who the hell are all these people from MysticWicks adding me on Facebook? And why? They're all people I don't know. I haven't posted on MW regularly in like three or four years. *shrug* Oh well. Not like I do much over there anyway except delete shit.

In lieu of anything else interesting to say, have some pictures.

Urgh. So...groggy. I overslept this morning and it's thrown me way off my game. All I really want to do is go home and curl back up in bed.

My sister could be having her baby any minute now. She's been having contractions on and off for a week now, but nothing regular enough to constitute actual labor. If she's showing progress on Thursday, they might admit her and induce labor then, but if not, then the 20th. Definitely by then, because her doctor's going to be on vacation after then, and she really wants him to be the one to deliver. So either way, I'll have a new nephew by the time I get up there. Which is cool with me, because that'll give me an excuse to steal Aiden from her for a while.

I got a pretty little package from Avy last night, and I lurves it. :D And she got her card from me, so you guys should all be getting cards any time now as well. I've got some presents for a few people that will be going out this weekend, seperate from the cards. I'm just waiting on one last package to arrive, and then I'll be good to go.

Also, I had to put a post-it note sign on my computer at home that says "Put down the credit card and step away from the computer". That would be because I get stoned and then make retarded purchases. Oh, I'm sure that particular item will come in handy later, but had I been sober I'd have thought twice about it.

I got a new phone yesterday. I had a $50 upgrade offer from AT&T for the newest version of the RAZR so I took it. *grumbles* For what they charged me for the damned deposit, they should of just given me a fucking iPhone. But I digress.

It is teh pretty. It's red. And damn, have they upgraded the software on these things! Apparently I can actually GET picture messages now, since Annette sent one earlier. *cracks up*

And I got a Bluetooth thingamagig for my ear so I can be pretentious. Well, actually so that I can talk while I'm driving. So when I'm driving to and from Kentucky this time (I'll be driving all weekend the 22nd & 23rd), you guys are more than welcome to call and blab at me. It, unfortunately, is not red, because they apparently don't make them in red. It's gold. Oh well.

This was actually excellent timing. The new phone got delivered to the office yesterday and then later in the day, Boss #1's wife had called Ashley asking if she could order her a new phone, because hers wasn't working well anymore. We all use AT&T here, so I told her she could just have my old one. Which is still practically new. I called in for an insurance replacement on it a few months ago since it started to fall apart.

Good thing, too. She had this ancient Nokia that was about the size of my shoe. And she's technicallly impaired, so I had to show her the basics of it (it's a 1st gen Razr). But hey, I got brownie points for giving the boss' wife a practically new phone for free. I didn't need it anymore, so why not? Just good timing, there.

And I got some good ringtones for my new shiny thing. My default ringtone is "Paint it Black" by the Stones, text messages sound off to "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon, and for when I want to change either of those up, I got "Folsom Prison Blues" by Johnny Cash. :D

Man, I'm hungry today. And all we have in the kitchen are those little 100 calorie snack things, and I feel like a pig if I grab more than one or two before lunch. I could have sworn I had some snacks hidden in my desk somewhere, but apparently I got to those a while back. Oh well, I can hold out for another hour or so.

Annette, I got your card yesterday, it's so cute! I hope there wasn't anything else in the envelope, because it was opened. *grumbles* My mailman and I are going to have words soon. I got no mail Friday or Saturday, but yesterday my mailbox was jammed full of stuff. What was the mail delivery oath? "Through rain or snow or hailing turds..." or something like that? Not sticking to that very well, that one.

Speaking of packages, FedEx tells me one is circling the town right now, and hopefully I should be able to catch it when I go home for lunch.

My right thumb is sore because of the frantic texting back and forth between myself and [ profile] opiate1138 during Heroes last night. I won't give away any spoilers for those that didn't see it, but I thought it was good. I had my hand over my mouth the last 15 minutes to keep from yelling. If they were able to do a full season, I'd probably be tearing my hair out between now and May. But I'm glad they were able to wrap up the season, as brief as it was.

Don't forget, Kat, Smallville's on Thursday. Kryptonsite says there's not a new episode until the 13th, but my DVR is set to record...something. *shrug* I'll have to check when I get home.

I still haven't mailed out my cards for you all yet, but I will before the week's out. I was waiting on the post office to get some more of the Christmas stamps in, because they ran out, but I got some yesterday. :p

Got a replacement for the CD deck in the Jeep last night. Fairly inexpensive and only took them an hour to install. Not bad. And it has a docking plug for my iPod so I don't have to mess around with that FM receiver bullshit anymore, and I can control it from the deck itself. I always hated trying to switch songs while driving because that little white screen can blind you at night if you're not careful.

While I was waiting I bummed around in Best Buy and saw that they had a demo of Rock Band. Hooooooleeee shit. Fuck Guitar Hero. That there is the shit. The guitar, though being a bit fucked up from being used by asshats, feels a thousand times better than the GHIII guitar, which feels like a brick with a neck. The little strum bar is thinner, and you can actually grip it more like a pick. My favorite part about it so far has to be the drums. Fun fun fun. I wanted to try out the microphone, but not in the store. Right now my voice sounds like Tom Waits and Janis Joplin in a simultaneous orgasm. Not pretty. It comes out on the 20th, and I want it SO bad. I might wait until after Christmas, if I can stand it.

Heroes was good last night. Though I thought they punked out DL with the way they took him out. That blew. And Elle is the creepiest chick on the planet. That's all I'll say about that for now.

I just got a good laugh out of the boss. I had put a note by the coffemaker with a filter taped to it that said "Gentlemen: THIS *arrow pointing to filter* is a coffee filter. Please to be learning to use these wonderous inventions. Because if I have to clean grounds out of the bowels of the coffemaker ever again, I will kill you. Love and kisses, Dee."

That's been there for a couple of weeks now. Benny chuckled and said "Dee, have you ever thought about being a writer? 'the BOWELS of the coffemaker'..."

"Nope," I said, "thought never crossed my mind."

Ashley still hasn't stopped laughing.

I now own some original Terry Moore artwork.

And I'm sure it's fairly evident why I picked that particular piece. )

I got my package today, it's all totally killer! I loooooove those little chests. I might have to keep them for myself. :p

Thank you Avy for enabling my shinything habit and saving me money at the same time! :D This is probably the greatest site a starving artist could ever want (not that I'm starving, but I'm still a cheapass when it comes to certain things :p):

I just bought a tin of 120 Prismacolor colored pencils for $97. That's insane. I was planning to go over to Michael's tonight and buy a set there, but theirs are in the $200-250 range. This is fucking awesome! *runs around in circles*

The imps showed up in the mail today. Thanks, sweets! *hugs*

1. Heroes was the shit last night. I'll say no more.

2. My idiotic sister is pregnant. AGAIN. I would say more, but I won't. Words fail me.

3. I did have a really good picture for Testosterone Tuesday, but I think my work computer ate it.

So here. Have this instead. )

Gods, I'm so freakin' busy today. I just had to stop a minute and say that. But I've gotten a lot done for it only being 1:30.

I think when I go home I'm going to jam on Guitar Hero for an hour or so, then clean the kitchen. It's been sorely neglected.

I'm going to attempt wearing my contacts tomorrow. Maybe a test run tonight. I think I've figured something out with those. The eye infection has been cleared up for a couple of weeks now, but I've been hesitant to wear them because my eyes have been feeling very dry when I get up in the morning. Then I had the (not-so-brilliant) thought "Hey! I might not be drinking enough water!" Duh. So I've upped the water intake, cut down on soda to the point where I'm only drinking maybe one Diet Coke a day (if that). I usually only have one or two cups of coffee in the morning, so that's not too bad. So...yeah. I'm gonna try out the contacts tonight, see how they feel, and if I don't have a problem, I'll wear them in the morning. *crosses fingers*

Net problem fixed and furniture lamentations )

So I was thinking. I've got the video setup now, so I'm thinking about making a couple of video blogs or just weird videos in general. If I were to do something of that sort, what would you like to see me do? I will go ahead and give a general disclaimer stating that nudity and porn are NOT happening. :p

I got the soapies. And the little duck is so cute, thanks! I was playing with those for a couple of hours last night. Good stuff! :D

I've got contacts, that's why. I haven't had any in years, so it's a little weird right now. I've got a trial pair in right now, to see if I like this brand (Acuvue 2). When I go back next week I'll get more, and pick out the frames for some glasses. I thought about forgoing glasses completely, but I do need them, because I know there are some days when I just won't feel like fooling with the contacts. So no new glasses just yet.

I did stop and pick up a nice cheap pair of sunglasses after I left the doctor's office. It's nice to be able to wear those, since I'm usually squinting in the sunlight. If I keep up all that squinting, I'll have crows feet deep enough to smuggle shit in.

And my foot's been tapping since I got here because I was hoping my iPod would have shown up by the time I got here, but it hasn't. Patience is not my strong suit today. :p

Well, I've been gone for a couple of weeks so I thought I should drop in and at least let everyone know I'm still alive. And I am, barely. I've been working at Little Caesar's since the beginning of the month, and that's going ok, even though my boss is my little brother. He's cool about it though, and I've made some new friends from it.

Don't know when I'll be back online at the house. Right now I'm a little upset over some bad news I got yesterday, and there's not a lot I can do about it really. Just replace, oh, EVERYTHING I FUCKING OWN. It never ends. And while I do appreciate my brother getting me the job, I'm going to find something else in the next month or so. I can't get by on that little paycheck, even though I worked 55 hours last week.

I want to go back to school, so badly, but right now it's just not happening. I need to take care of bills and kids and other stuff more...and I know if I could just get through to graduation, I could be doing so much better. *bangs head against wall*

I always have to do things the hard way, don't I?
